ROAD SAFETY EDUCATION PLAYS AN IMPORTANT ROLE IN SHAPING THE ATTITUDES AND BEHAVIORS OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE.
The mounting toll of deaths on Indian roads is a matter of great concern for all stakeholders. Speeding vehicles, drunk driving, low use of helmets & seat belts and child restraints in vehicles have resulted in most of the accidents on the roads.
The Road Safety Week (RSW) is observed throughout India under the guidance of the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Govt. of India from 11-17 January.
Road safety education plays an important role in shaping the attitudes and behaviors of children and young people – ensuring they become responsible drivers, passengers, pedestrians, and cyclists. As the old saying goes; you are never too young to learn.
“Safety First” Is “Safety Always.”
